Bref résumé du projet :

Au premier janvier 2014, nous avons lancé une nouvelle guidance technologique « BiomedHelp » qui a pour but d’accompagner les entreprises actives dans le domaine de la santé, et plus particulièrement celles impliquées dans les biotechnologies et le secteur pharmaceutique.

La guidance se décline en quatre objectifs principaux :

  1. soutenir l’accompagnement des industriels et des chercheurs dans leur recherche liée au développement de diagnostics in vitro ;
  2. proposer des réactifs et/ou des outils de qualité pour valoriser et accroître les tests de diagnostic dans la chaîne des soins de santé ;
  3. contribuer à la détermination de nouveaux biomarqueurs en garantissant l’accès aux échantillons biologiques humains requis ;
  4. développer des outils analytiques permettant d’assurer le contrôle de la qualité des médicaments.

Résumé du projet clôturé (project output) :

Le projet BioCop est un projet européen basé sur des nouvelles technologies pour détecter la présence de contaminants chimiques multiples dans les aliments.  Le CER Groupe etait impliqué dans trois groupes de travail dont le WP2 (protéomiques), le WP4 (molécules de liaison) et le WP8 (thérapeutiques).  Notre objectif au sein du WP2 était d’aider à l'identification de biomarqueurs suite à une utilisation abusive d'agents anabolisants en production animale.  Notre objectif au sein du WP4 consistait à produire des anticorps (polyclonaux et/ou monoclonaux) reconnaissant les contaminants chimiques prédéfinis par les autres partenaires.  Nous avons réussi à développer une méthode de screening permettant la détection simultanée de 11 fluoroquinolones (antibiotiques) dans le poisson, la viande de volaille et les oeufs.  Cette méthode basée sur les biosenseurs exploitant le principe de Surface Plasmon Resonnance (SPR) a été complètement validée selon les critères européens.

Work Package 1 : Antibody development

Résumé du projet clôturé (project output) :

Le rôle du CER a consisté essentiellement à produire les différents anticorps nécessaires au développement des immunoassays.
EU legislation demands that residues of xenobiotics used in poultry production to prevent and treat disease are monitored. However there is strong evidence that some coccidiostat residues (suspect carcinogens) are present in meat and the consumer is not being given adequate protection. The project objective is to develop a simple, user friendly and automated immunoassay system for broad spectrum screening of the important coccidiostat residues. A novel time-resolved fluorescence based detection system employing dry chemistry and intrinsically fluorescent labels, already successful in hyman diagnostic applications, will be utilised. Confirmatory assays will also be developed for these residues. National Reference Labs (end-users) will be trained through Technology Transfer events to use the methods, thus improving harmonisation of testing. The 2 SME partners can commercialise high quality diagnostic products as a result of the project.
