 Brief outline of the project:

The MoniQA Project (Towards the harmonisation of analytical methods for monitoring quality and safety in the food supply chain) was a European project (network of excellence) that was part of the 6th Framework Programme. The aim of the project was to harmonise quality control and safety methods of the food chain. In the long run, the industrial sector and SMEs will benefit from the use of harmonised detection methods and technologies, just as the consumer will benefit via food quality and safety.

This 5-year project came to an end in January 2012 and resulted in the creation of a “MoniQA Association” non-profit organisation that continues to disseminate the results of the project on a voluntary basis.
