Brief project summary:

The objective of this research project is to attempt to ascertain the possibility of corticosteroids being produced endogenously in cattle. To this end, an inventory of “non-compliant” samples from routine analyses will be established in order to target at-risk populations. Based on this, phase I and II metabolites of endogenous glucocorticoids will be identified after administration of corticoids to cattle.
In parallel, “in vitro” tests will be performed to investigate the formation mechanism of these metabolites.
All the analyses will be performed by LC-MS or U-HPLC-HRMS.
